Welcome to our feathered friends-


With almost 100 birds presently at the sanctuary and  there's a lot to tell about them. Every bird almost, without exception, has a story.

These are just a few of our companions and as time permits, we will be adding more of them and their stories so you can get to know them better.

mr. magoo


Mr. Magoo has been around for a long time and was named for a radio show in 1949. He's been a member of Captain Tut's family for over 18 years.

 



Sunshine is a 5 year old, Yellow naped Amazon and true to her breed. Here she is with her long time friend Tillie. You can see more of him on Capt. Tut's

This is Shadow.  He's a sometime guest when he needs some extra attention.
This is BJ.  He is a 7 year old, male Umbrella Cockatoo. He was purchased by his original owner as an egg and spent the first 5 years of his life in constant connection with his friend. 

Circumstances of change in the family forced them to give him up to the sanctuary.  This was a BIG change in his life, but with the help of his new friends, he is settling into a new life.
