Not all birds that come to the Pinellas
Suncoast
Sanctuary are
healthy. Many have skin problems, parasites and more often,
emotional issues. You've probably seen parrots who look bald on
their chests. These are usually suffering from emotional
distress. At the sanctuary we can help heal these birds by giving
them the emotional support they need to bring them back to the beauty
they once possessed.

From the veterinary services
available to
the sanctuary when needed, to
help from caring individuals that help with fund raising and other
activities the time and effort donated makes a huge difference to our
feathered friends.

When people find themselves in a position
where
they don't know where
to turn with their birds, we want them to know we are here for their
friends. With a life expectancy of 30 to 40 years, it's easy to
see why some folks may encounter difficulties in keeping their
pets. They could be transferred out of state or out of the
country. There might be a divorce and neither can afford their
feathered friend. The old expression "Things Happen" can hold
true for many of life's events. That's what makes Pinellas
Suncoast Parrot Sanctuary so important. We're here for those
friends in need for whatever reason.
